Navid Fallahi, M.D., is a radiation oncology clinical resident in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Massey and the VCU School of Medicine. He was a recipient of the spring 2024 round of Commercialization Fund awards from VCU TechTransfer and Ventures, part of the Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation. The funding was awarded for inventing a flexible, steerable intracavitary brachytherapy applicator that could potentially revolutionize radiation procedures for gynecological cancers and extend its application to other cancers as well.
